About Maria Kruschewsky
A Brazilian-born contemporary artist in Orlando, Florida — two decades of paintings, monotypes, and engravings shown from the Louvre to Tokyo.
Memory, gesture, and presence
Maria Kruschewsky is a contemporary visual artist whose practice is rooted in poetic abstraction. Working with painting, works on paper, and mixed media, she investigates the tension between materiality and emotion — layering, repeating, and revising until each surface holds the traces of every gesture beneath it, a dialogue between control and chance, permanence and transformation.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in museums, biennials, and contemporary art fairs across Europe, Asia, and the Americas — including the Salon d'Art Contemporain at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, the International Printmaking Biennial of the Douro in Portugal, the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Macedonia, printmaking exhibitions in Tokyo, and galleries in New York and Miami. Her work is held in institutional collections, including the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami.
From her Orlando studio, Kruschewsky continues a global conversation on contemporary abstraction. She is open to curatorial dialogue, exhibitions, and institutional collaborations — and shares her monthly practice with collectors through The Studio Circle.
